EASY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.

Tools Needed For Locking Nut

  • Small Phillips Screwdriver
  • 3 mm Hexagonal (Allen) Wrench ( included)


  1. Block your tremolo. We use a tremolo back plate, or even the plastic clamshell case your nut came in..
  2. Remove existing nut clamps
  3. De-Tune/Loosen the strings at the headstock so that the strings can be completely moved to the side (3 per side)
  4. Remove the existing nut
  5. Remove the two top or rear mounting screws
  6. Leave any shims in place
  7. Replace nut base with the Lok-N-Roll, making sure the base is flush and extending over the fingerboard
  8. Screw the Lok-N-Roll down
  9. Place strings over the Lok-N-Roll into the grooves
  10. Tighten and tune the strings at the headstock
  11. Install the Lok-N-Roll Clamps
  12. Remove the blocking device you used at the tremolo
  13. Fine Tune

Tools Needed For Composite Nut

  • Small Phillips Screwdriver
  • 2 mm Hexagonal (Allen) Wrench ( Rear Mount Only)


  1. Block your tremolo. We use a tremolo back plate.
  2. Remove existing nut clamps
  3. De-Tune/Loosen the strings at the headstock so that the strings can be completely moved to the side (3 per side)
  4. Remove the existing nut
  5. Remove the two top or rear mounting screws
  6. Leave any shims in place
  7. Replace nut base with the Lok-N-Roll, making sure the base is flush and extending over the fingerboard
  8. For "Top Mounting", Screw the Lok-N-Roll down using the enclosed Screws (Don't use square nuts)
  9. For Rear mounting, place the square nuts in the Lok-N-Roll, and use your screws
  10. Place strings over the Lok-N-Roll into the grooves
  11. Tighten/Lock your tuners, and tune the strings at the headstock
  12. Remove the blocking you used at the tremolo
  13. Fine Tune
